During my visit, I was particularly taken by the Paneer Tikka and Chole Bhature. The paneer was perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection, offering a delightful blend of texture and flavor. The Chole Bhature was hearty and satisfying, with just the right amount of spice, making it comfort food at its finest.

Of all the India Sweets and Spices locations (may or may not have the same owner), this location on Topanga Avenue and Sherman Way has consistently delivered over the decades. It is both a grocery store and a dining place. You can get hot food (only vegetarian, of course), which is prepared fresh every day. The hot case houses the vegetables of the day which are made north Indian style, but you can also get several South Indian favorites to order, either for dining in or to go. Prices have gone up as expected, but this should not be a deterrent because the food is still of a very high quality in taste, freshness, texture, and a kaleidoscope of India spices and flavors.

This place has been here forever and will likely stay that way as it's a very convenient place to get good and quick Indian food as well as buy some niche ingredients in their grocery section. I grabbed a mango lassi and almost chugged it as it tasted so good. It's zero frills but the food is good and the people are friendly

Honest review ,.. Guy that looks like owner or co owner darker skinned older man with evil mean unfriendly face serves you food as if you owe him something .. Not much class and most minimal education and customer service. Older man with white beard is indifferent but easygoing..another skinny man between 28-34 years old also very unfriendly and rude , Heavy set man bet 32-38 guy at front seems kind and crispy potatoe pancakes are tasty so are samosas food is ok and price is ok for easy takeout..It would be more at a restaurant downside is food is a bit over spicy and not always malai kofta or masala sauces:(

My whole family enjoys their food. It's kind of spicy but good spicy. Their prices have gone up like every other place. Try their large samosas for $1.49 (ask for both tamarind and green chutney). Papadum is just 25 cents each. Everything is Vegetarian and they have a good selection in their market. Their whole milk yogurt is delicious. Our favorite dishes are Aloo Gobi, Matter Paneer, Palak Paneer, Aloo Baingan, and Gajar Ka Halwa

Amazing Indian food it was amazing kinda spicy but taste can't wait to be back ................

A vegetarian food court in the Indian Sweets & Spices market. The worker was welcoming and the service was quick since the dishes I chose were pre-made. I ordered the plate, which comes with 2 vegetables, choice of rice, and chapati. I'm honestly not sure of the specific name of my vegetables, but they were delicious! The orange paneer was my favorite; it had a nice kick of spice. The green paneer was different but also tasty; it had more of a spinach taste and texture. Overall, very delicious and affordable! The plate was a little over $10 and easily fed me and someone else.

On my journey to find Rose syrup and rose water...I decided to check out India Sweets and Spices on Sherman Way and Topanga. With plenty of parking on the street and in the back...I ventured in! The place is clean and big! I found exactly what I needed and then I was greeted by the amazing aroma of India food! I was not hungry but that never stops me and I made a beeline to the restaurant section! I ordered the $7.99 lunch special...with so many choices...and to my delight it was all vegetarian and some of the best I've ever had! A customer suggested their tea and provided me with a sample...which I promptly ordered as well! Everything was delicious..fresh, mildly spiced and perfect! I literally cannot wait to go back again and kicking myself for not going there a lot sooner!!!
